Disclaimer

Effective Date : October 2026

We know disclosure pages usually get skimmed and forgotten, but at Novacrochet, we’d rather you know upfront how this site might make money down the line, and where those relationships stop, and don’t touch anything else you find here.

Advertising

We may run display ads through third-party ad networks, such as Google AdSense, HB Agency, Mediavine, or Raptive. Here’s what that would and wouldn’t mean:

  • The ads come from the network, not from us, we won’t be hand-picking what shows up next to a pattern.
  • We won’t be personally vouching for any product or company an ad happens to promote.
  • Any revenue would go toward keeping Novacrochet free and the patterns coming.

Amazon Associates

We’re considering joining the Amazon Associates program. If we do:

  • Links we use when we mention a specific hook size, yarn weight, or tool, the kind of thing we’re already naming in a pattern anyway, may turn into affiliate links ;
  • If you click through and buy something, we’d earn a small commission ;
  • It wouldn’t cost you anything extra ;
  • It wouldn’t change which products we recommend, we’d still name what actually works for the pattern, not what pays best.

Other affiliate partnerships

Beyond Amazon, we may eventually work directly with yarn or craft supply brands through their own affiliate programs, under the same rules:

  • No cost to you ;
  • A product only gets named because it’s genuinely what we used or recommend, not because a brand asked us to ;
  • Any affiliate or ad link takes you to a site Novacrochet doesn’t run and can’t control, we’re only responsible for being upfront that the link exists and why, not for what happens once you’re there.

Sponsored content and gifted products

If a brand ever sends us yarn, a kit, or a tool to try, or pays for a piece of content, here’s how we’d handle it:

  • Labeled clearly at the top of that specific pattern or post ;
  • Never buried in a footer or left for you to guess at.

What this page doesn’t cover

This page is about money, who might eventually pay us, and how. It’s not about whether a pattern will turn out the way the photo shows, or whether you should treat our instructions as professional advice. That’s covered in our Terms of Service, and we’d rather point you there than say it twice in two different ways.

Changes to this page

We’ll update this page as Novacrochet’s monetization changes, if a new advertising, affiliate, or sponsorship relationship starts, the relevant section here gets updated to match. The effective date at the top reflects the most recent change.

Questions
