Contact Novacrochet: Crochet Pattern Help
Hi, I’m Maren this inbox comes straight to me, no support team, no ticket queue, no auto-reply pretending to be a person. Every message gets read by the same set of eyes that tests and photographs every pattern on this site.
Send a note if a pattern’s instructions left you stuck somewhere, a download link isn’t working, or a size came out different from what you expected. Or if you just want to mention that the amigurumi otter’s ears turned out lopsided on your first try, that kind of thing is welcome too. It all lands in the same place.

Collaborations, wholesale & press
Same form covers this, I haven’t set up a separate address, mostly because I’d rather not lose track of things across two inboxes. Just put what it’s about in the subject line so I know to prioritize it, then tell me a bit about who you are and what you’re proposing. If there’s a deadline on your end, mention it, I’ll work around it if I can.
Response time
Two business days is the usual turnaround. If more time than that has passed, it doesn’t mean I’m ignoring you, send the message again. My inbox holds up fine most of the time, but not always, and things can end up buried without either of us noticing.
Before anything goes on the site, I make it myself, following the same instructions you’d be reading. That’s how most mistakes get caught, though not all of them. So if a row doesn’t add up or a stitch count looks wrong, tell me exactly where, I’ll pull that pattern back up and work out what needs fixing.
Frequently Asked Contact Questions
Can I sell items I make from your patterns?
Personal use is always fine, no questions asked. Selling finished pieces has its own set of rules, covered in detail on the Terms of Service page, worth a read before listing anything.
Do you take pattern requests?
Yes. Requests go on a running list that gets revisited regularly. Not every one makes it to the site, but a good number do, and specific requests (a character, a technique, a gift occasion) tend to move up faster than vague ones.
I found a mistake in a pattern, what now?
Tell me which pattern, and where it goes wrong, a row, a stitch count, anything specific. I catch most errors in testing, but not all of them, and a clear note means the next person who opens that page gets it right.
Can I repost your photos or patterns on my own site or social media?
Ask first, always. A quick message covers it in most cases, and crediting Novacrochet with a link back is appreciated when photos or patterns get shared elsewhere.
How long does a typical reply take if my question is more involved?
Most messages get a full answer within the standard 2-day window. Anything that needs more digging, a wholesale proposal, for instance, gets an initial reply in that window, even if the full answer takes a bit longer to put together.
